26/03/2019: Workshop entitled “The impact of climate changes in Reggio Emilia: towards an adaptation strategy” organized by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and IUAV.

On March 26th, the Municipality of Reggio Emilia organized along with IUAV a dissemination / technical meeting open to the public entitled “The impact of climate changes in Reggio Emilia: towards an adaptation strategy”.

Throughout the conference the results of the project were presented, with a special focus on historical data and climate change projections as well as on the main risks and vulnerabilities of Reggio Emilia’ s territory. Furthermore, good adaptation practices were showcased along with relevant studies developed by ARPAE and the Municipality Reggio Emilia. In specific, these studies examined the role of “green” in the mitigation of microclimate and of pollutants.

In the framework of the workshop, a specific session was dedicated on discussion and confrontation (Focus Groups) with local stakeholders with respect to the possible adaptation measures in response to the critical issues identified during the conference.
