Cyprus: Demonstration and training seminar of the UrbanProof Toolkit

The Department of Environment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment of Cyprus organised an online demonstration and training seminar of the UrbanProof Toolkit, on Wednesday, March 24 2021. Moreover, the Cyprus Energy Agency presented the local Adaptation Strategies of the municipalities Strovolos and Lakatamia that were developed in the framework of the LIFE UrbanProof project. The event was attended by more than 35 people from various organizations from Cyprus as well as students and other individuals.

Municipalities of Strovolos and Lakatamia: Invitation to the presentation of the results of LIFE UrbanProof project

The municipalities of Strovolos and Lakatamia invite all interested parties to attend the online presentation of the LIFE UrbanProof toolkit, as well as of the climate change impact assessment results for the two municipalities and the local adaptation strategies that were developed in the framework of the LIFE UrbanProof project. The presentation will be held on Wednesday, 20th of January, at 12.30 p.m., while following a training seminar on the use of the UrbanProof toolkit will be conducted.

Public consultation on the Sustainable Energy and Climate 2020-2030 for the Municipality of Lakatamia Action Plan

In the framework of the European project “LIFE UrbanProof – Climate Proofing Urban Municipalities”, the Municipality of Lakatamia announced the launching of public consultation on its Sustainable Energy and Climate 2020-2030 Action Plan, as part of the Covenant of Mayors movement. Adaptation strategies were drafted by external associates and submitted to the Municipality Committee which has approved them to be published.

A questionnaire has been developed to inform the public, which is due until 10/1/2021. The questionnaire can be accessed here.

Municipality of Reggio Emilia: UrbanProof Toolkit demonstration and training seminar

The toolkit demonstration and training seminar has been organized by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia in collaboration with the IUAV, NTUA and NOA. The event was held online on 14 December 2020. A large number of actors were invited to participate both through the mailing list and through the events portal of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and social networks.

Invitation to the demonstration and training event of the Urbanproof Toolkit by the Municipal Administration of Reggio Emilia

The Municipal Administration of Reggio Emilia has organized an online event for the presentation of the Urbanproof Toolkit, a web tool to support the city in adapting to climate change built within the Life UrbanProof project.

The event will also be the occasion for a brief presentation of the Reggio Emilia Adaptation Strategy to Climate Change, recently approved by the City Council after a long process of analysis and study.
