Evento di lancio in Grecia
The project launching event in Greece was held on April 03, 2017 at the central conference theater of Peristeri Municipality.
The launching event was attended by about 50 persons, where except for the Greek project partners (PERISTERI, NTUA, NOA), other representatives from public and private bodies that participated were :
Ministry of Interior, Piraeus University of Applied Sciences, Agriculture University of Athens, University of Southampton, Center of Renewable Energy Sources, West Attica Municipalities Development Association, Municipality of Athens, Municipality of Ilion, Green Evolution S.A., Geomatics S.A. etc.
A brief description of the presentations made is given next.
12:00-12:15 Presentation of LIFE15CCA/CY/000086 “UrbanProof” program, by Christina Papadaskalopoulou – National Technical University of Athens
Climate change and climate change impacts for the urban areas were presented, as long with a brief presentation of “UrbanProof” program (areas of integration and participants, main goals of the program, main methodology and outcomes to be expected)
12:15-12:30 Climate change and impacts on the urban environment, by Christos Giannakopoulos – National Observatory of Athens
Physical variability of climate, Indicators of extreme phenomena, Climate model structure and variety was presented as long with the general case study of Athens and an online tool for future climate change forecasts in Greece
12:30-12:45 Participation of Peristeri Municipality in LIFE15CCA/CY/000086 “UrbanProof” program - Mayors Adapt 2030, by Nikos Venetas – Peristeri Municipality
The involvement at the various stages of the project for Peristeri Municipality was presented, deliverables, obligations and short term/long term benefits. Development of a strategy and communication plan for stakeholders engagement. Reference to Mayors Adapt 2030.
12:45-13:00 Energy Footprint of Peristeri Municipality, by Ira Neofytoy – Electrical engineer of NTUA
Basic characteristics of Peristeri Municipality, Inventory methodology, Final Energy Consumption Inventory and Final CO2 Emissions Inventory for Municipal, domestic and tertiary sectors was presented
13:00-13:15 Presentation of Life “Clim'Foot” program – Developing strategies for reducing emissions greenhouse gases, by Stavroula Papagianni – Center of Renewable Energy Sources
A brief presentation of Life “Clim'Foot” program (areas of integration and participants, main goals of the program, main actions and outcomes to be expected, a toolkit for calculating carbon footprint and personnel training in calculating the carbon footprint) was presented
13:15-13:30 Bioclimatic Actions/Chorafa case study, by Ioannis Pappas – Green Evolution S.A.
Chorafa area as a case study of Bioclimatic action and renovation was presented. Area characteristics, type of actions, Intervention materials, quality check, installation of meteo stations and comparative analysis of the area situation before and after the action.
